Modern life is really hectic sometimes. It often feels like a neverending treadmill of; waking up, working, eating, sleeping, and then to have it all repeat the next day. That aside, how much sleep we get each day is an essential part of our health. Do you think we get enough or are we struggling to keep up?

Did you know that people used to sleep twice a day? We know this from literature and scientific studies: In Charles Dickens’ Barnaby Rudge (1840), he writes:

“He knew this, even in the horror with which he started from his first sleep, and threw up the window to dispel it by the presence of some object, beyond the room, which had not been, as it were, the witness of his dream.”

Would you like to see this revived once more?
